After careers in Web2 and Web3 games publishing, we understand the challenges indie game developers face everyday

Time and time again, we sat and watched as brilliant games and builders failed to reach their full potential. This was because, without huge marketing budgets, the right connections or funding, they were unable to support themselves. These failures were not only a loss for a better gaming industry, but also for technology. We believe that game development is a sandbox for technologically progression, mechanics, and the type of thinking which affects everyday life and mainstream culture, way outside the confines of our screens and consoles.

But we’re at a crossroads…

There is an indie revolution happening, underpinned by new technologies like blockchain and AI. These technologies are unlocking new types of growth, revenue streams, and tools for indie games developers to work full time on the things they love. But far too many developers don’t trust them, or worse, are too scared to use them.

To solve this, OP Guild plans to educate and upskill indie games developers. This will allow more developers to build with and trust these new technologies and ensure real, fun, indie games will be created outside of the scams, hype cycles and jargon. Next is the go-to-market: bringing these games to players and other developers through Game Jams created by Guild partners and members who want to support indie games developers and see them succeed.
